-HippocratesDr. Shastri earned his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, NY. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Toledo, where he also earned a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Following residency, he pursued a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, serving as Chief Cardiology Fellow during his final year.
Dr. Shastri’s journey through diverse training programs has shaped his approach to personalized, evidence-based patient care. His clinical interests include Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac imaging—particularly Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography, Nuclear stress testing and Cardiac CT—which he uses to develop tailored treatment strategies and gain deeper insights into each patient’s health.
A former resident of Atlanta, Dr. Shastri attended Emory University for his undergraduate studies and is excited to return to provide exceptional care to the community.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, finding new restaurants, and staying active at the gym.
